May 2008 Prayer Letter

Dear Friends,

April was a very busy month in terms of ministry and activity here in the USA. Both our directors from Ghana and India were here speaking in various venues. Needless to say we are still catching our breath between venues as they are being shuffled here and there sharing the work abroad.

Both were here to watch their daughters graduation – Pauline from Dallas Seminary, Dallas, TX; and Eugenia from Anderson Atlantic University, Savannah, GA.

James and Ruth Sundar leave for India on May 22 and Eugene and Emma Narh leave for Ghana on June 10. So please continue to keep them in your prayers.

GHANA PROJECTS – March

Prior to Eugene and Emma leaving for America in April, Eugene finish their 3rd proejct in 2008 in the Ajumako district of the Eastern Region doing 30 venues, preaching to 7,847 with 4,251 first time decisions. Our other evangelist, Godfried Tei, was also busy ploughing the fields. His team were in 22 venues, preaching to 15,000 with 3,983 first time decisions for Christ. They had several testimonies to share – here is one of them:

"I was introduced into the fetish house at the age of six (6) when I was used as pacification for a crime committed by my uncle. The family decided that I should spend the rest of my life in the fetish home to prevent a calamity from befalling my family and so my future was sealed without my consent. When I came of age, the priest defiled and had children with me. I was virtually a slave without rights and had to work hard to cater for my "unsolicited husband" and children; and worse of all, I could not own any property. My children also became slaves and had no future, just like me. A Non Governmental Organization (NGO) negotiated with my owners and paid some compensation to have us released but I felt it was too late because I am now 75 and not trained in any profession.

The message of this 'Jesus film' has given me hope to go on living because I have realized that Jesus has not given up on me. I can at the least gather my children and tell them about life in the fetish home as compared to life in Christ. I have tasted life in the fetish home and it cannot be compared in any way with the little I have experienced in Christ. Thank you for bringing me hopes for the future."

Madam E_____ U_____ was recently released from the fetish home.

The fetish (juju) tribal religion is demonic to the core. The priests and priestess' will keep their subjects in fear, pending spells and worse things if they are not served. This includes sexual female child exploitation that can extend generationally. The government is moving slowly to abolish it.

Through March, we have completed six projects preaching in 199 venues to over 56,000

with 20,613 of them experiencing God's amazing grace for the first time in their lives.

HARVESTERS TRAINING COLLEGE

The students are taking their final exams as you read this, please keep them in your prayers.

SPONSORING THE EDUCATION OF INDIAN CHILDREN

Would you considered sponsoring a very deserving Indian child? These are children who would otherwise be begging or working as a laborer helping their parents bring money in to live.

For only $325 we can send them to a good school near the college, furnish their uniforms and all their school supplies. Should you want to give them a birthday and Christmas gift, it would be an extra $25 or $350 total. We have a few supporters who have had to drop out due to some unexpected financial circumstances. We will send you a picture and a bio sketch on each one. Please give this some prayer.

IN CLOSING…

Friends, as I finish composing this prayer letter, I have been reminded of the faithful friends through the years who have obeyed God and stood with us to make this ministry a reality. You have prayed for us and given sacrificially and Dottie and I as well as the teams in Ghana and India want to say a big thank you again for all you do.

Please continue to keep our finances in prayer. The monthly receipts are still not where we need to be but we are not discouraged. God has never let us down and we are trusting Him!

We still lack $9,000 left to secure the annual budget for THE FATHER'S HOUSE for the remainder of the year. Would you please give this some prayer? These little children must have our support!

Until next month, join me in saying, "great is Thy faithfulness."

Grace and peace…Mack and Dottie

IT MAKES SENSE TO USE YOUR SENSES!

Often in my quiet times, when I stop to worship and praise the Lord, this song comes to mind, and I quietly sing the words (almost a whisper) as praise to the Lord. It just speaks the desire of my heart.

"I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice,

To worship you, oh my soul, rejoice.

Take joy, my King, in what you hear,

May it be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear."

As I was mouthing these words today and thinking about what God hears from me each day, I begin to think about the senses that we have and that so enhance our lives each day. God has given us the ability to see, to hear, to smell, to taste and to touch. Wonderful senses that we can use in giving and in receiving as we bring praise and glory to God. Scriptures began to come to mind, so let me share a few with you today.

Psalm 66:8 - "Praise our God, O people, let the sound of his praise be heard."

Psalm 100:1 – "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands."

Does God hear the sound of joyful noise and praise as we speak of Him each day in our conversation, not only with Him, but with others? Do people hear through my conversation that I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ?

II Corinthians 2:14 - "But thanks be unto God who always leads us in triumphal procession

in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance (sweet smell) of the knowledge

of Him." Is the smell of my life a fragrance of the knowledge of Him?

The woman who had been bleeding for 12 years found Jesus in the crowd and touched His

cloak because she thought – "if I just touch His clothes, I will be healed" (Mark 5:28) and she

was. Do I recognize the power of the touch of Christ in my life that overflows to others as I

reach out and touch them?

Psalm 119:103 - "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth."

Psalm 34:8 - "Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man who takes refuge in

Him."

We are told in Matthew 5:13 that we are the salt of the earth. We must be careful that the salt

does not lose its taste. We can offer the sweet taste of the Lord to others.

Psalm 66:5 - "Come and see what God has done, how awesome His works in man's behalf."

Matthew 5:16 challenges us to "…let your light shine before men, that they may see your

good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

Perhaps these words are something that you have not really thought about before, but they

could be a challenge to us to use our senses each day that we might honor the Lord and that we

might receive His blessing as He pours out on us enough to overflow to others.

Have a blessed day and remember – it makes sense to use your senses!

Dottie
